Tata Steel Board is going to meet in early May to consider a Stock Split
Tata Steel is set to consider a stock split proposal on May 3. And the company's board of directors will also look into dividends for the financial year FY22. The last Dividend is given by tata steel of Rs 25 on 17th June 2021.
In a regulatory filing on Sunday, the company said its board will meet on May 3, 2022, to “consider a proposal for sub-division of the equity shares of the company having a face value of Rs 10 each, in such manner as may be determined by the Board of Directors.”
Generally, during a stock split, the number of shares rises while the price per equity share gets cheaper proportionately. The Main Reason for Spil the share is to increase the liquidity and to increase the reach of every retailer.
Tata steel, last trade price is Rs 1319 on Wednesday which is consolidating in a range from the last 15-20 days. It is struggling to break its resistance area of Rs 1380 and then dropped down to Rs 1319 just above its support area which is Rs 1295. If this support breaks then we may see its price near Rs 1260.
