Aarogya Setu App: How It Helps To Fight Against COVID-19

The Government of India is taking a large number of measures to stop and track the spread of the COVID-19 virus. On 2nd April, Aarogya Setu App has been launched by the Government of India to track the spread of coronavirus COVID-19. This app uses your mobile Bluetooth and location to show if there is any COVID-19 positive case near you. 

When you go out in a public place the Bluetooth of your phone interacts with the Bluetooth of other phones and keeps a record of it. If anyone of the people whose Bluetooth came into contact with yours gets tested positive you will get a notification that when you went out you came into the vicinity of a person who has been tested positive for COVID-19 and you should get yourself checked soon. 

Aarogya Setu app is also accompanied by instructions on how to self isolate and to do in case you have symptoms like COVID-19.

Quick Guidelines/Ways to Use the App

1. Firstly download the app from Google Play Store and Apple Store for Android and iOS devices respectively.
2. Select a Language of your preference
3. Bluetooth and Location of the device should be enabled now
4. Set location sharing to "Always" from your phone's settings.
5. Click on “Register” to Register and then click the “I agree” button
6. Enter your mobile number and enter the OTP received on that number
7. Now you can successfully access the app
8. Click on the “Self Assessment button” and submit your Gender and age details
9. Fill the inquiry questions answers honestly
10. Once all your answers are completed, the app will automatically update you about the risk of COVID-19.  #Stay Home #Stay Safe
